After being a dominating force on defense for the Hawkeyes, Kampman was selected in the 5th Round of the 2002 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. He has been starting games since his rookie year and became an absolute monster at Defensive End for the Packers. He has been named to the Pro Bowl twice and was selected as a 2nd-Team All-Pro in 2006 and 2007. He was near the league lead in sacks in both of those years, but was dealt a setback when the Packers changed their defensive scheme and he was forced to move to an outside linebacker position. Throughout the 2009 season he had collected 42 tackles, 3.5 sacks and a forced fumble before his season was cut short in Week 11 when he tore his ACL against the 49ers. In the offseason, Kampman became an unrestricted free agent, signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars on March 7th, 2010. He took over a starting Defensive End position for the Jaguars as they started the 2010 season against the Denver Broncos. Kampman started the year off with 25 tackles and 4 sacks through the first 8 weeks. While practicing after the Bye week, Kampman tore his other ACL and will miss the rest of the year after being placed on Injured Reserve. After the season, Kampman’s teammates voted him the recipient of the Ed Block Courage Award. He returned for the 2011 season but battled injuries during the preseason and throughout most of the season. He recorded no stats and was eventually placed on Injured Reserve before the team’s Wee 14 game. His 2011 stats:
