Brandon Myers was selected by the Oakland Raiders in the 6th round of the 2009 NFL draft. Brandon went through the regular season as the third TE on the Raiders depth chart but played in 11 games mostly on special teams and as a blocking TE. He recorded 4 receptions for 19 yards which is pretty impressive considering the quarterback situation out in Oakland. But, the biggest play of the year for Brandon happened in Week 11 when he forced a fumble in the final minute of the game while on the kickoff team and allowed the Raiders the opportunity they needed to beat the Cincinnati Bengals. He finished his rookie season with 6 tackles and 2 forced fumbles on special teams to go along with his offensive production. Heading into the 2010 season Myers was listed as the backup Tight End behind Zach Miller but ended up starting 3 games. Myers finished his 2nd NFL season with career highs of 12 catches for 80 yards. He also added 2 tackles, a punt return & a blocked punt while contributing on special teams.
