Yanda was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the 3rd Round of the 2007 NFL Draft with the 86th pick overall. He immediately made an impact starting 12 of the Ravens’ 16 games. He did not begin the 2009 season as a starter, but he ended up starting 9 of the 16 regular season games for the Ravens at both Right Guard and Right Tackle, and played in all of them.  He also started both of the Ravens’ playoff games against the Patriots and Colts.  Yanda started every game during the 2010 season, splitting time between Right Guard & Right Tackle. After the season ended, Yanda became a free agent but, when the lockout ended, the Ravens made him a priority and signed him to a 5 year deal. He rewarded the team by having a stellar season, being named to his first Pro Bowl.
